Join us as we embark on an exciting journey from Olds College to Canada’s largest western store, Irvine Tack & Western Wear that’s a must-stop-shop for ranchers and cowboys alike. With over 110,000 sqft of shopping under one roof, registrants will learn about the family history of the store along with the opportunity to explore while enjoying coffee and a light snack.
From there, we’ll head to breathtaking Banff National Park where we will make a stop at the mesmerizing Lake Louise or Moraine Lake, (this will be decided at a later date due to the number of registrants). Prepare to eat your lunch while being amazed by the natural beauty of turquoise waters that surround these iconic locations.
We will then have the opportunity to choose from two unique experiences, tailored to the number of registered participants. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure of the town while being surrounded by mountains. Shopping along the town’s main street will take place before we head back to Calgary.
Once there, we’ll check in to the Alt Hotel located along the Bow River in Calgary’s East Village. There will be a brief moment for registrants to get settled in and refreshed before taking a short walk to a local eatery. We’ll indulge in a late dinner as you take in the bustling atmosphere of the city.
July 4, 2023 - Choose Your Day!
On the second day of the tour, you have the freedom to personalize your experience based on your preferences:
Tour of the City with us: Join us for a captivating walking tour of the city’s east end, where we will visit notable landmarks such as Fort Calgary, Smithbilt Hats – home of Calgary’s white hat – among other highlights. The day will culminate with a visit to two local breweries, where you can unwind and savour the local flavours along with a street taco lunch. The walking tour is estimated to end around 1:30 p.m.
Attend Alltech ONE Conference: If you're interested in the Alltech ONE conference, we will pay for your taxi to the conference hotel. Please note that media passes to the conference are obtained separately.
Explore the City on Your Own: If you prefer to explore the city at your own pace, we can provide you with a list of city highlights and recommended places to visit. Discover the hidden gems of Calgary and create your own unique experience.
Fly Home: We understand that some participants may have flights departing on July 4. In such cases, we will gladly organize and pay for your taxi from the Alt Hotel to the airport, should you not join us for breakfast and other day of activities, ensuring a seamless departure.
